Steve Rumsey is a native Texan having grown up in the Denison area. He began his involvement in the construction industry attending construction sites with his father who has been in the construction business for over thirty years. Steve is the co-founder of Cross Development in which he and Casey Shires started in 2003.



Shortly after his graduation from Texas Tech University he joined Llano Utilities as a project manager/estimator. He was Vice President for 8 years and headed up the water and sewer division. Since then Steve has been engaged at Cross Development, he is responsible for several areas for Cross. Some of these include, architectural, engineering, City coronation and permitting, Construction Management, Operations financing and working with tenants.



Steve has experience in all types of construction from wood framing to tilt wall. He has years of experience working with Municipalities, Architectural firms, Engineering firms and general contractors. Cross has developed projects from raw land to property in Re-Development, in-fill areas, of Gas Stations, Dry Cleaners and other businesses where they were required to \\\"clean up\\\" the sites and get them ready for new development. The properties Steve has overseen range from 47-acre large developments with \\\"big box\\\" tenants to small one-tenant developments. Steve puts together the budgets and financial information for Cross Development with the help of the Cross Development Staff.



Some other opportunities that he has explored and completed include developing single-family subdivisions, multi-family, owning and managing rental property and commercial shopping centers.
